Building a Strong Immune System
In today’s fast-paced, fast-food world, our immune systems are challenged more than ever! Most Americans have poor eating habits, high stress, and increased exposure to environmental pollution. No wonder we’re seeing more allergies, recurring colds and flu, and chronic fatigue! Immune system dysfunction is on the rise! Here are ten steps you can take to enhance and strengthen your immune system:
1. Eat a well balanced diet. It’s critical for a properly functioning immune system.
2. Eat your fruits and veggies. Fruits and veggies have many of the phytonutrients critical to enhancing immunity. It is recommended that adults get five to nine servings a day.
3. Get plenty of rest. During deep sleep, our bodies release immune-enhancing substances. Get even more rest when you’re sick.
